![]() ![]() DR2.0 also has better physics, better graphics, a better repairs system (and an optional "hardcore" damage mode), Dirtfish, time trial ghosts, and many other improvements. So among you and your friends, only one of you could buy the DLC and you could all play it as long as being reliant on the host isn't an issue for you. Overall I would recommend DR2.0, especially if you can buy the DLC, but even if you can't, because you can potentially still play the DLC you don't own by joining someone's multiplayer lobby who does own the DLC. It's a little buggy but it doesn't bother me personally. I would say DR2.0 has a much better multiplayer system if you're playing with people you know, but if you just want to hop in a lobby and do some anonymous racing I would say DR1.0 is almost better because there's much less waiting between races.Īlso, DR1.0 has ACAT, an unofficial mod that lets you play any track with any car in multiplayer, so you can rally together and it's actually genuinely more fun that DR2.0 to me because you can see each other. Havent tried multiplayer (Ill be honest I dont even really know how DiRT Rally MP works, Ive played both games singleplayer). ![]() * Höljes and Hell are included in DR2.0 and Lydden Hill is available as DLC in DR2.0.įor rally it's a similar story - the same number of rally stages in the base game (12圆=72), but more available as DLC in DR2.0 (all of the current DLC locations are included in DR1.0). Unlike other games in the series, there is no real tutorial involved, and if it is your first time playing a Dirt game, you are going to struggle in the beginning. DR2.0 has 5 more rallycross circuits available as DLC (for £3 each), as well as more car classes to choose from (Crosskart, RX2, and Group B RX (as DLC), versus Classic Rallycross in DR1.0). Dirt 2.0 is most definitely geared towards fans of the Dirt series as well as Rallycross racing fans. Both DR1.0 and DR2.0 have the same number of rallycross circuits in the base game, but in DR2.0 it's spread out over 8 different locations while in DR1.0 it's 8 circuits in 3 locations (Lydden Hill, Höljes, and Hell*).
